© PADI 2026Your dive count tells you how much you have done underwater. It says very little about how much you have noticed. This is an official PADI specialty certification that teaches you to observe, stay composed and make clear decisions underwater.
Theory, two open water dives, PADI certification fee and all dive equipment included. Training takes place at Guru Dive dive centre in Istanbul, Türkiye.

Many divers have good buoyancy, efficient air consumption and automatic procedures. Yet when asked what they actually noticed on a dive, the answer is often a shrug.
Rubelis Presence Diver was designed for that missing dimension. It introduces no new technical skill. It teaches you to apply the skills you learned in Open Water with observation, controlled breathing and a deliberate decision sequence.
Staying still and genuinely reading your surroundings, yourself and your buddy.
Reading your own stress level and your buddy's state from non-verbal cues.
A repeatable decision sequence for minor in-water stressors.
The details of a dive only appear when you stop and look. All photos from Rubelis dives.

Rubelis Presence Diver was developed under PADI's Distinctive Specialty programme and reviewed by PADI EMEA. Once you meet every performance requirement, your certification is processed through the PADI system like any other PADI certification.

At the core of the course is a four-step sequence that keeps you from rushing when something small goes wrong. Try one round below.
Takes about 12 seconds.
You complete the theory online at your own pace, then apply it on two open water dives with your instructor. There is no pool session.

The twelve chapters of Rubelis Beyond Diver. Reading-based, about 10 hours. On completion you receive a QR-verifiable Beyond certificate. All twelve chapters must be completed before the first dive.
